David Vela, D.D.S.

Welcome to our family at All Smiles Dental Center. I am excited to meet and get to know each and every patient that comes through our office. Since I was a child, I always knew I wanted to do something in the health care profession. As I explored my options, I gravitated directly toward dentistry. I truly feel blessed to be able to go to work every day and do something I love. Perhaps my favorite part about dentistry is being able to form personal relationships with patients and interact with them on a regular basis.

Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, I graduated from Mary Carroll High School. I moved to San Antonio after graduation and obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Biology at St. Mary's University. I completed my dental education with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. In my opinion, regardless of what you choose as a profession, you can never stop learning. To keep up-to-date with the newest technologies, products and ideas, I attend continuing dental education courses regularly. I have completed over 200 hours of continuing education, from implant surgery and restorations to Invisalign and 6-Month Smiles. This ensures I can continue to provide only the highest level of care for you and your family.

When not consumed by dentistry, family is the biggest part of my life. I have a wonderful wife, Stephanie, whom you will surely get to know at our practice. We have been blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Gabriella, and my amazing son, Luke. They have taught us to love like we never knew possible. I enjoy doing almost anything there is do outside, including all sports, golfing and hunting. My favorite teams are the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns. I cannot wait for the opportunity to form a new friendship with you, and I hope you will allow me to help you maintain a functional and beautiful smile!

Anthony Jaramillo, D.D.S

Born in Florida but raised in the Coastal Bend of Texas, I am a true Texan at heart and a second-generation dentist who has a passion for changing lives one smile at a time.

As a native of the Corpus Christi area, I graduated Salutatorian from Gregory-Portland High School before later attending Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science and obtained summa cum laude honors. I then proceeded with my dental training at the prestigious University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio - School of Dentistry and graduated with my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with higher honors and a distinction in Dental Education. Upon graduation, I was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society which promotes and recognizes academic excellence and character among students of dentistry.

Recently married to my wife Francesca, when I am not at the office you can likely find me enjoying the hiking trails around San Antonio/Austin with our dog Sophia, who always keeps us on our toes, or trying new restaurant recommendations in the surrounding areas. In my spare time I also love to go fishing, play soccer and tennis, do some woodworking, or just enjoy a good movie.

Driven to set standards that exceed the norm, while placing the comfort and quality of care for the patient first, I aim to provide every patient the opportunity in achieving a smile they love and deserve. Through oral health education and the use of state-of-the-art technology, we at All Smiles Dental Center want to welcome you as part of our family in making a brighter tomorrow!

Welcome to All Smiles Dental Center! I am grateful for the opportunity to meet you and provide personalized care to improve your oral and overall health. I pride myself on being patient and listening to each individual’s unique needs and goals. My goal is to work together, with modern technology, towards achieving the best version of yourself. I want you to know that you are like family and you have a dental home for life.

Born in Okinawa, Japan, I was raised in Dallas, Texas in an Air Force family. My grandparents and parents instilled in us four girls the importance of treating others with compassion. From little league to high school, I was a cheerleader and enjoyed motivating others. I knew early on that my passion for helping others would translate well into dentistry. One day when shadowing my hometown dentist, I realized how gratifying dentistry could be when a young woman came in with a fractured front tooth and an interview the next day; she was in tears. It was inspiring to see how routine crown therapy and a temporary crown in a matter of two hours could lift her spirits and return her confidence. I go to work everyday excited and humbled knowing that I can make a positive impact on someone’s life in many different ways.

I am a proud Red Raider from the Texas Tech University Honors College. I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology. I went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

When I’m not spending time with family or taking continuing education courses, you’ll find me weight lifting, exploring floral design or taking salsa lessons.

Paulette Duncan, D.D.S.

It is an absolute honor to be your dentist today. It has been quite the journey that has led me here and has allowed me to care for you. I was born in Venezuela and moved to Florida when I was 7 years old. I grew up in a Spanish-speaking community outside of Miami called Doral, eating arepas and hamburgers, truly enjoying the chaos of blending cultures.

I earned my undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida (UF), where I studied Health Education and Behavior. Being an active alumnus with the UF Gator Alumni Association remains a huge part of my and my family's life because my husband, David, is also a Gator alum. I am the past president of the Alumni Association in San Diego, California, and an active member of the Alumni Association in San Antonio, we love to attend football and basketball games and cheer on the team whenever we can!

I attended dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry from 2013 through 2017. Besides studying continuously, I was part of multiple community service projects, the most memorable of which was a mission trip to Belize to provide care for children in an underserved area of the country. After returning from the trip, I became the president of the Hispanic Student Dental Association, where I was able to travel across the country to attend continuing education courses, network with other dental professionals, and work to improve access to and instill the importance of dental care within the Hispanic community. My dedication culminated in a senior research project focusing on improving dental education for pediatric patients by providing learning modules to Hispanic mothers in the waiting room– a project that earned the first place award at the annual meeting of the Hispanic Dental Association.

After graduating, I moved around the country, having practiced as a general dentist in San Diego, Nashville, and now San Antonio, where we arrived in September 2022. My husband David is an Interventional Radiologist at Brooke Army Medical Center. Together, we keep busy with our two kids, Leo & Amelia, and our lazy bloodhound rescue, George Michael.

I can't wait to meet you and work with you to improve your oral health and achieve your smile goals using a comprehensive, patient-focused approach.
