General Dentistry:
A general dentist is licensed to practice in all areas of dentistry. By performing a complete dental exam, the dentist can determine the patient's oral health. These type services include but are not limited to preventative services such as routine cleanings, diagnostic x-rays, sealants, and oral exams. Restorative services such as fillings, root canals, crowns, and bridges. It is recommended that you have your teeth cleaned and examined every 6 months. In between visits you should brush and floss at least twice daily to prevent tooth decay and gum disease, the major cause of tooth loss.
Endodontics:
If your tooth's nerve chamber becomes infected by decay, root canal treatment is often the only way to save your tooth. Inside your tooth's hard outer shell is a nourishing pulp of blood vessels, lymph vessels and nerves. The root canals, which contain the pulp, extend to the bone. Deep tooth decay, or an injury, can cause serious damage and infection to the pulp's nerves and vessels. Root canal, or endodontic, treatment cleans out the infected pulp chamber and repairs the damage.
Some indications of the need for root canal treatment may be:
  •  Spontaneous pain or throbbing while biting.
  •  Sensitivity to hot and cold foods.
  •  Severe decay or an injury that creates an abscess (infection) in the bone.
  • Thanks to advances in modern dental materials and techniques, your dentist can help you attain the smile you've always wanted. The contour, color, and alignment of your teeth can be changed by such cosmetic techniques as bleaching, bonding, veneers and inlays.
Bleaching lightens stains or discoloration and can be performed on living teeth or teeth that have undergone root canal treatment.
Bonding restores chipped, cracked, miscolored, or misaligned teeth by rebuilding the surface with plastic or porcelain material.
Veneers bond custom made tooth-shaped shells to correct or camouflage discoloration, damaged or misalignment.
Inlays and Onlays are tooth-colored restorations that are used on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. They can be placed instead of silver fillings or to replace existing silver fillings. bond custom made tooth-shaped shells to correct or camouflage discoloration, damaged or misalignment.
    Periodontics:
Periodontal disease is the major cause of tooth loss in adults. Mainly caused by plaque, it's usually painless. Regular dental visits are essential to timely diagnosis and treatment. Treatment will depend upon the type of periodontal disease and how far the condition has progressed. Treatment options include:
Scaling - cleans teeth to remove deposits above and below gumline. lightens stains or discoloration and can be performed on living teeth or teeth that have undergone root canal treatment.
Root planning - smooths rough spots so the gum can heal. Local anesthesia may be used.
Oral irrigation - directs anti-microbial ( anti-palque) ligiude below the gumline to flush out and kill germs to allow regeneration of healthy tissue.
We can restore broken, decayed, worn down, and missing teeth to their natural beauty and strength using materials ranging from time-tested gold alloys to the all-ceramic restorations. We can recommend and provide the best treatment available including:
  •  Crowns and Bridges
  •  Complete Dentures
  •  Removable Partial Dentures
  • Oral Surgery:
The gentle removal of fully or partially impacted wisdom teeth, soft tissue impactions, root tips, abscessed teeth, and the treatment of dry socket.
Wisdom teeth cause more problems than any other tooth in the mouth. They will either partially break the gum tissue and grow in crooked or remain underneath the gum. In nine out of ten people, at least one tooth remains underneath the gum - referred to as an impacted tooth, causing symptoms of future problems of varying degrees. "Even if you have no symptoms now, headaches, earaches, pain in the face, neck, throat and upper and lower teeth can occur if impacted wisdom teeth are not removed."
Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and facial irregularities. Braces are appliances or devices used to make these corrections.
How do braces straighten crooked teeth?
Braces use steady, gentle pressure over time to move teeth into their proper positions. They don't look like they're doing much just sitting there. but in fact, every moment or your orthodontic treatment, there's something happening in your mouth. Something good for you. The brackets we place on your teeth and the main arch wire that connects them, are the two main components. The bracket is a piece of specially shaped metal or ceramic that we affix to each tooth. Then we bend the arch wire to reflect your 'ideal" bite-what we want you to look like after treatment. The wire threads through the brackets and, as the wire tries to return to its original shape, it applies pressure to actually move your teeth. Picture your tooth resting in your jaw bone. With pressure on one side from the arch wire, the bone on the other side gives way. The tooth moves. New bone grows in behind. It may look like nothing is happening but we're making a new smile here. Thanks to new materials and procedures, all this happens much quicker than ever before. It's kind of an engineering feat.
