Dr. Serapio De La Rosa, DDS
Welcome to All Smiles Dental Center! I hope that you will allow me to be an integral part in restoring and maintaining your dental health. San Antonio is a familiar place for me and I am glad to be returning to this community. I received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio in 1984. I have been in private practice for over 27 years in my hometown of San Benito, Texas. I am married and have 2 daughters.
Dentistry is my passion and I am blessed to be able to go to work each day with a smile on my face. I am currently working in the San Antonio practice Thursdays through Saturdays. Coming in June, my oldest daughter (future dental hygienist) and son-in-law (future dentist) will be joining our All Smiles Dental Center team. This will allow us to provide increased hours to our patients while also bringing some fresh ideas to the practice. My wife serves as the Office Manager, making this truly a family practice. I hope that you will allow All Smiles the opportunity to be your dental home and that you will feel comfortable each time you walk through our door.
Outside of dentistry, I primarily enjoy spending time with my family. Fishing, hunting, and going to the movies are some other hobbies of mine. I am also a huge sports fan with my favorite basketball team being the San Antonio Spurs!
Dr. David Vela, DDS
Welcome to our family at All Smiles Dental Center. I am excited to meet and get to know each and every patient that comes through our office. Since I was a child, I always knew I wanted to do something in the health care profession. As I explored my options, I gravitated directly towards dentistry. I truly feel blessed to be able to go to work every day and do something I love. Perhaps my favorite part about dentistry is being able to form personal relationships with patients and interact with them on a regular basis
Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, I graduated from Mary Carroll High School. I moved to San Antonio after graduation and obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Biology at St. Mary's University. I completed my dental education with a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Dental School. In my opinion, regardless of what you choose as a profession, you can never stop learning. To keep up to date with the newest technology, products, and ideas, I attend continuing dental education courses regularly. This ensures I can continue to provide only the highest level of care for you and your families.
When not consumed by dentistry, family is the biggest part of my life. I have a wonderful wife, Stephanie, whom you will surely get to know at our practice. I enjoy doing almost anything there is do outside, including all sports, golfing, and hunting. More recently, I am trying to learn how to catch a fish or two on Dr. De La Rosa's boat. I can not wait for the opportunity to form a new friendship with you and hope you will allow me to help you maintain a functional and beautiful smile!
Dental Hygienist
My name is Stephanie Vela and I am the dental hygienist here at All Smiles Dental Center. I am the daughter of Dr. De La Rosa and the wife of Dr. David Vela. Working with my father in the dental field has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Now, not only did my dream come true with working with my father, but also being able to work with my wonderful husband. My family and I are very excited to provide our excellent services to all of you and your family!
I was born and raised in Harlingen, Texas. I graduated from Harlingen High School South and then moved to my mom's hometown of San Antonio, Texas. I attended St. Mary's University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I also met my husband during my time there at St.Mary's. After graduation, I went on to earn my professional degree and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
On a personal note, I also enjoy many things outside of dentistry. I love going to the movies and spending time with my loving husband (David Vela) and my family. I also have a pet Shih Tzu (Bella) who I absolutely adore. I love being active and going to the beach whenever I get the chance! I also enjoy dancing, traveling, and running. My husband and I are very excited about making San Antonio our permanent home!
